Pink petunias, at five thirty in the morning, display color a great many people will miss. The color pink, by its nature, borrows a bit of blue from the cool side of my palette. The sun provides natural lightdriven color. I enjoyed a delightful challenge in finding its reflected color in the paint of my palette. It was the lavender shadows on translucent pinks I found so exciting. Subtle cool-warm patterns turned the surface of each petal….
All too soon this morning light shifted and the day gave up its glorious beginning.
