There is a huge National Park on Vancouver Island as well as many other sights and sounds in this spectacular land. Everything about this visit distinguished Canada, its people and its places for me. In the forest, wherever sun breaks through dense, overhead foliage, colors are defined in very light or quite dark values. The sweet spots, as I think of them, are reflected lights trying to influence darker, nearby places. It isnt long before you see the playful influence of indirect light on fluttering, leafy surfaces. And tall, elderly Cedars lend a dignity you would expect from their aging population. I came away feeling great. The friendly ways of Canadian people created memories lasting long after my departure.
