Jim and Barbara Coffin have a colorful, friendly and totally open home on Seattle’s Capital Hill. Barbara has a beautiful voice and teaches singing in their living room. Jim teaches computer animation downstairs and occasionally contracts his services. For years, each holiday season, they will seat 30 or more friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. This candle lit setting of fresh fruits and seasonal food is reflected in the stained glass of their living room window. I was struck with the warmth of this evening and what its goodness meant to all with whom it was shared. Truly, it was Friendships Bounty.
