If you have never witnessed the opening of this elegant flower, find the time to do so. I painted Grand Opening, filled with wonder as it did so. There is both size and beauty to behold. Tall, elegant and imposing as Sun Flowers are, each vividly yellow-orange face eventually begins looking downward; head shaded as it bows to the mid day sun. Their seeds are a nutty delight when eaten alone or carried along in the company of other tasty trail snacks. This particular painting, 3’ x 4’, is in a huge, open living area that needed its warm and friendly presence.
